DIGITAL CITIZENSHIP LANDSDALE PRIMARY SCHOOL

As part of the technologies curriculum and the health curriculum we develop programs and teach the students at Landsdale Primary School about responsible online behaviour, privacy and the potential risks associated with the internet.

These programs emphasise the importance of treating others with respect in both online and offline interactions as well as equipping students with skills and strategies to keep themselves safe.

Setting clear expectations for students when using iPads in the classroom is essential to ensure a productive and responsible learning environment.

At the start of each year our students read, discuss and take home a copy of the Landsdale Primary School Student Participation Agreement and the Landsdale Primary School iPromise to sign and show families, so our expectations around the appropriate use of iPads at school is clear. These documents encourage students to be accountable and responsible for how they use their device, what content they are exposed to, and ensuring their device is kept safe and secure at all times.

Together We Grow

We respectfully acknowledge the past and present traditional custodians of this land on which we are meeting, the Wadjuk Noongar people. It is a privilege to be standing on Wadjuk country. We also acknowledge the contributions of Aboriginal Australians and non-Aboriginal Australians to the education of all children and people in this country we all live in and share together – Australia.
