Music

Landsdale Primary School

Landsdale Primary School offers weekly music lessons for students in Years 1 through Year 6, which include moving, singing, playing various instruments, listening, reading, writing, and creating music.

All students are encouraged to engage with music to their fullest potential. Music significantly supports the whole child’s development by boosting academic performance, enhancing social and emotional wellbeing, and improving brain function, memory, concentration, and emotional expression, and we have a lot of fun!

Throughout the term, extracurricular music activities are run, both singing clubs and bucket drumming clubs are available, as well as an opportunity for select students to participate in the senior school choir providing additional opportunities for musical engagement.

The Instrumental Music School Services is a government run program within the school providing a select group of students in years 5 & 6 with instrumental lessons within school hours (we currently offer brass, woodwind, clarinet, & classical guitar).

Together We Grow

We respectfully acknowledge the past and present traditional custodians of this land on which we are meeting, the Wadjuk Noongar people. It is a privilege to be standing on Wadjuk country. We also acknowledge the contributions of Aboriginal Australians and non-Aboriginal Australians to the education of all children and people in this country we all live in and share together – Australia.
